The Benicia State Capital building was California's third capital building, where the California State Legislature convened from February 3, 1853 to February 24, 1854.  It is the only pre-Sacramento capital that survives.

The Benicia Tea Party  was founded in 2010.   We support and conduct non-partisan research, education, and informational activities to increase public awareness of legislation and legislators".
